Our Spotlight Series - featuring Helen Erichsen

We want to bring you closer to the hearts and minds of inspiring individuals, capturing them in their natural habitats where their passions and personalities shine brightest.

We start our spotlight with our all-time favourite Helen.

Tell us a little bit about yourself?

My name is Helen. I have lived in Copenhagen for 5 years, with some places before and in between. I have worked in PR and the media industry, specifically podcasting and have started well-being concept RAVE. Most importantly - I am a yoga teacher and love to bring my practice to the people.

Being the founder of RAVE, where were you and how did you realize that you wanted this idea for your brand to become a reality?

I was in a shit period of my life! I had thought about working with my yoga practice and creating something of my own for a long time and just wanted myself to be better and to make other people feel good at the same time. The rest of the brand identity kind of came along the way.

Can you share your overall philosophy on health and what being healthy means to you?

For me health really means balance. Going out for yoga in the morning and a drink with some friends in the night. Living long because you’re happy and waking up every morning being stoked about life.Otherwise sleep, plant-based foods, good friends, sun and lots of yoga/deep breaths really helps. It’s super important to give energy and nourishment to yourself first, especially when you serve others in that area. And just defining it for yourself- not what other people define it as.

What does your morning routine look like?

Every morning is different!I really have no strict routines but usually it involves movement and coffee.

How do you balance your career with your well-being?

My career is mostly in well-being so I guess im lucky in that regard. Teaching relaxes me and I need to keep up the practice to keep up with my job. I really try to practice what I preach in that sense.

What advice would you give to enhance one’s health journey?

Find something you are passionate about and focus on that. Find out what it is that helps you, personally, to de-stress. A relaxed mind correlates directly to a healthier body. Can also really recommend walks and a stretching routine cause we all sit way too much.

What is your vision for yourself, your life, and your future?

To keep on building from the path I am on.

What is the best advice you have ever had?

Sounds cliche but its probably just to fuck what other people think :) Thats also a constant practice.

What is your 10 favourite songs?

To me, this is a vibe mix.
